The Referral Process: As a 24 /7 /365 Emergency Services Behavioral Health resource, HHH is committed to helping you address the needs of your client or patient when outpatient levels of service are no longer adequate to maintain their safety and their ability to perform normal daily functions, or when you are not certain and you need further assessment to ensure their safety or functionality. The Referral Process is as simple as one phone call to our Emergency Services Department, better known as “Holly Hill Hospital Respond.” When you call “Respond,” you will have immediate access to Licensed Clinical Staff who will guide you through a telephonic triage of your client’s or patient’s current status or presenting symptoms. Since you know your clients better than we do, you can help make the process more efficient and clinically effective by your providing the following information when you call…

  • Client’s Presenting Problem / Condition
  • Client’s Demographics and Managed Care / Payor Source Information
  • Client’s Known Medical History
  • Client’s Treatment History
  • Client’s Current Medications (name, dose, frequency, route, compliance, etc)
  • Client’s Referral Legal Status (Voluntary / Involuntary)

Emergency Referrals: Understanding that your private practice cannot always be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, we know that during after-hours emergencies you may not have access to your client’s / patient’s clinical records. During these times, you can simply advise them to go their nearest local Hospital Emergency Department or direct them to Holly Hill Hospital’s Respond Department for further assessment. In such cases, it will be very important that you contact Holly Hill Respond to inform them that you are sending the client / patient for assessment, providing their name and a brief description of their presenting problem.
